Governor Walz Announcement - Nov. 18, 2020

All,

The announcement that will be made by the Governor today regarding COVID mitigation strategies will not impact construction.  As of now, it also will not change the current guidance for training centers or civic meetings (union meetings).  However, training and meetings are strongly encouraged to return to a remote-only format for the next four weeks.

The announcement today will include the following information:

  • Limit Social Gatherings to own household only, both inside and outside
  • No indoor or outdoor dining at bars or restaurants
  • No youth or adult sports.  Professional and college sports will continue
  • Closing gyms
  • Closing of places of public amusement – bowling alleys, theaters, movie theaters, museums, arcades, etc.
  • No wedding receptions or gatherings after funerals.  Weddings, funerals and church services will be able to continue.
  • Suggestion to avoid out of state travel if possible (not a mandate), and quarantine for 14 days.
  • School guidance will remain the same

As additional guidance is provided, I will reach out. Also, we have updated our social media campaign around COVID.  Please see our website for updated information: https://mntrades.org/covid-19-resources/.

Best,

Jessica Looman
