BAC Local 1 MN/ND/SD Constitution, By-Laws, and Rules of Order

The Constitution, By-Laws, and Rules of Order of the Bricklayers & Allied Craftworkers Local 1 was finalized in 2002.

BAC Code of Conduct

The International Union of Bricklayers & Allied Craftworkers 2005 Convention passed a resolution endorsing the following BAC Code of Conduct.

International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers

The International Union of Bricklayers & Allied Craftworkers offers member assistance designed to provide crisis intervention, referral, and information services to active and retired BAC members and their families. Phone: 1-888-880-8222.

Member Portal

The International Union, the International Pension Fund, and the International Health Fund encourage participants and retirees to register for the BAC Web Portal. Portal users can access annual statements, plan forms, update contact information, and check-in when travelling for work. Users can also access the BAC Job Information Network and can read BAC and Fund publications. Registering for the Web Portal is fast and easy! Member Dues

Membership dues allow us to provide our members with the best representation and support possible. They are varied based on status and are due on the first of each month, but members can pay as far ahead as they would like. Members have several options for paying their dues.

Sign Up for Auto-Dues

This convenient service for our members pays your dues directly out of your vacation fund. As long as you're working, you won't have to worry about your dues. If you stop working, you can check on how much money is in your vacation fund by calling Zenith at 651-256-1801. And, you can always supplement your dues payments if your vacation fund runs out by utilizing another payment method. 

Once per year, we will request a full year of dues to be drawn out of your vacation fund. If there isn't enough to cover a full year, we will continue to request funds once a month to pay you through January of the following year.

Pay by Credit/Debit Card

Members can call our office and pay over the phone or stop in to swipe their card. There is a processing fee of about 3.5% for this service.

Pay by Check

Members can mail checks to our office at 312 Central Ave. SE, Suite #328, Minneapolis, MN 55414. Checks should be made out to BAC Local 1 MN/ND/SD. Please include your full name and/or IU member number with your payment.

Pay by Cash

Members can also stop in to our office to pay by cash. We ask that you please have exact change ready.

Out of Work List

Have you been laid off recently or need help finding work? Make sure you add your name to the BAC Local 1 Out of Work list to be contacted by a business agent as opportunities become available.  Call (612) 379-2966 or email [email protected] with your name, IU number, previous employer, and last day worked to be added, or complete an online form here.

Member Rewards

Members are awarded one point for every Chapter, Semi-Annual, and Holiday meeting they attend. Member points can then be exchanged for BAC Local 1 MN/ND/SD gear, including hats, sweatshirts, and jackets. To view the complete catalog, PDF icon click here. BAC Member Assistance Program (MAP)

Did you know that BAC members have access to free, confidential help around personal problems that interfere with home or work life such as mental health or substance abuse concerns? The Member Assistance Program (MAP) is currently launching an anti-opioid abuse education, awareness, prevention, and intervention campaign. View more and contact MAP here. MAP Now is a monthly bulletin to educate members on essential health topics and provide contact information for professionals to reach out to with concerns. MAP is a part of the International Union and offers free, confidential assistance around personal problems that affect work or home life, including mental health and substance abuse problems.
